I hope you all enjoyed the lovely weather over the Easter break; may it return soon!

Here is a brief reminder of our plans for Tuesday’s meeting.

Our speaker, John Brownwell, will be telling us of the mysteries of the Avebury Stone Circle. After coffee we will discuss the two resolutions chosen by members this year and vote for the one we prefer.

There will also be a plant sale so please bring plants to add to the stall. All proceeds will go to funds.

Monday May 13th The Art Group meets again after the Easter break

Monday May 20th Jenny’s walk – details at the meeting.

Tuesday May 21st @ 12.30 – Lunch Club at the Spread Eagle. See Denise if you are going

Wednesday June 5th NFWI Annual General Meeting in Bournemouth

Friday May 24th @ 2pm Craft Group meets at Val’s – I The Warren.

Sunday July 7th.   Northcourt Centre Open Day. 2-4.30pm. Entrance is £3 to include tea and cake, children are free. There will be lots to see and do and it is a great opportunity to demonstrate our talents and promote our WI. Please support us.

Tuesday August 13th  The Summer Outing to Broughton Castle. Please indicate if you are interested.

Thursday July 18th Summer Garden Party in Moira’s garden.

September 12th Watermill Theatre trip to see “Kiss Me Kate”. Viv could only get 11 tickets.

September 21st Art and Craft Exhibition – Didcot Civic Hall.

a)      A group of our ladies are entering the competition.

b)       If you wish to exhibit any of your work, (e.g. art, handicraft, photography, ceramics, embroidery) – ‘this is your chance to show your many and varied talents’.
