Dear All,

I hope you all enjoyed the lovely weather over the Easter break; may it return soon!

Here is a brief reminder of our plans for Tuesday’s meeting.

Our speaker, John Brownwell, will be telling us of the mysteries of the Avebury Stone Circle. After coffee we will discuss the two resolutions chosen by members this year and vote for the one we prefer.

There will also be a plant sale so please bring plants to add to the stall. All proceeds will go to funds.

Monday May 13^th The Art Group meets again after the Easter break

Monday May 20^th Jenny’s walk – details at the meeting.

Tuesday May 21^st @ 12.30 – Lunch Club at the Spread Eagle. See Denise if you are going

Wednesday June 5^th NFWI Annual General Meeting in Bournemouth

Friday May 24^th @ 2pm Craft Group meets at Val’s – I The Warren.

Sunday July 7^th.   Northcourt Centre Open Day. 2-4.30pm. Entrance is £3 to include tea and cake, children are free. There will be lots to see and do and it is a great opportunity to demonstrate our talents and promote our WI. Please support us.

Tuesday August 13^th  The Summer Outing to Broughton Castle. Please indicate if you are interested.

Thursday July 18^th Summer Garden Party in Moira’s garden.

September 12^th Watermill Theatre trip to see “Kiss Me Kate”. Viv could only get 11 tickets.

September 21^st Art and Craft Exhibition – Didcot Civic Hall.

a)      A group of our ladies are entering the competition.

b)       If you wish to exhibit any of your work, (e.g. art, handicraft, photography, ceramics, embroidery) – ‘this is your chance to show your many and varied talents’.
