Change of plan for walking group
The uncertain weather prompted the walking group to cancel their proposed walk across the fields to Drayton. But nothing daunted, they set out on an alternative walk in Abingdon.
“Following a late change of plans we managed to dodge the showers today. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful gardens at St Ethelwold’s then walked through town, the Abbey Gardens, across the weir & lock and back into town. We enjoyed refreshments at the Throwing Buns.
Our next walk will be a leisurely stroll along the river bank towards Culham on Sunday 31 May.
