Change of meeting time to the afternoon

The Committee and members of Abingdon Fitzharrys WI agreed during 2020 that one important way to deal with the difficulties of meeting during the present Covid 19 restrictions was to change the time of the monthly meeting from the evening to the afternoon.

Accordingly, the Committee emailed Catherine Blaxhall, Chair of the Oxfordshire Federation of Women’s Institutes, to request the Board’s approval that the meeting should be changed from the evening to the afternoon times of 1.30 – 3.45 pm, while remaining on the second Tuesday of the month. The Board agreed to the change and the new times apply now that meetings have resumed via Zoom from April 2021. The new times will also apply to in person meetings once Covid guidelines allow them to recommence.
