Walking Group

The next walk will be on Monday 22nd July. We will meet at St Nicolas church in Abingdon at 11am for a walk to Culham along the river. We thought  that  Annie’s at the Boathouse, on Abingdon Bridge, would make a good venue for lunch on our return walk into Abingdon.
We have a small group of members who enjoy a monthly walk around Abingdon and the surrounding area. We began this year with a walk along the bridle way to Sunningwell.  We sometimes catch a bus to one of the outlying villages or to Woodstock where we enjoy a walk around the grounds of Blenheim Palace. We try to arrange the walks around the seasons of flowers and enjoy daffodils at Steventon and bluebells at Radley. We enjoy seeing the blossoms on trees and the flowers in gardens we pass. Our walk usually ends with a meal at a local pub or cafe.

We enjoy the exercise and a social get together with friends, with friendly chats along the way.

The meal is voluntary, as not everyone wants to stay for the meal, so they make their own way home.

To join any of our groups, speak to a member of the committee at the monthly meeting or email us at info@abingdonfitzharryswi.co.uk.
