Have you had your heating on yet?
A big thank you to you all for a wonderful fruit and vegetable raffle selection at the September meeting. Quite a number of you went home with a large bag full.
Two new members signed up – welcome to Sonja and welcome back Avril – and we had one visitor.
We all enjoyed Viv’s rendition of 1066, even without the microphone. Sarita read out a thought-provoking poem about time. Any more poems or stories lurking will be most welcome for another time.

Welfare Officer  Members who are poorly and might like a visit? We try very hard to make sure our members are valued. Please contact Hilary.
Lunch Club – Tuesday 21 October 12.30 pm at the Spread Eagle. Contact Pauline.  Please note that the Lunch Club’s Christmas lunch is going to to be on Tuesday 16 December.

Art Group Every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at Northcourt.Centre. Contact Viv.

Next WI monthly meeting Tuesday 14 October will be Christine Farmer talking about ‘’The Repair Shop and me’’ 
Bring a SMALL plate of nibbles -sweet or savoury- to share.
Jubilee group meeting Monday 29 September Drayton Village Hall 7.30 pm.

Christmas lunch at the Merry Miller, Cothill. See the email from Jean, our Secretary sent out to you all on 11 September with all the information you need. Please let her have your menu choices, though it seems early to be thinking about it. Payment is due by 4 October please – Bank transfer or cash preferred.

Christmas monthly meeting Start looking for toiletries for the homeless and items suitable for our Christmas Tombola.

The Sound of Music matinee performance by the Oxford Operatic Society on Sunday 18 January 2026 at the New Theatre Oxford. The matinee tickets are selling fast but I have secured 20 tickets in the stalls. Cost approximately £20.
