The walking group’s latest Sunday stroll
Eight of our members enjoyed a circular walk today starting from Rye Farm car park. We walked alongside the Thames, across Donkey Bridge to the Lock Cottage where we recrossed the road to walk back to Abingdon. Refreshments were enjoyed by all at the Riverside Cafe.
Along the way we passed a cricket match, admired some ducklings and the beautiful lily pads at Donkey Bridge and found an interesting historical plaque rather hidden away near the lock house.
The group plan to meet again on Sunday 28 June. Look out for more information on where the next walk will take us and perhaps you will be inspired to join us.
