October 2026. Golly how time flies!
We are delighted to welcome Suzanne as a new member this month.
Hopefully you have had a good browse through the Christmas menu from “The Merry Miller‘’ and will want to join us for the Christmas lunch on Wednesday 2nd December. Payment is due by the November monthly meeting.
Many of the extra activities we run are a wonderful opportunity to get to know your fellow members better.
The Oxfordshire Inspires magazine from the Oxfordshire Federation of WI’s and all the events it features is another
way to have a good day out with like-minded people. Don’t miss out!
We now have some options for you to vote on for “How to spend the £300 Bursary”. Let’s hope we will find something we can all enjoy together. Whatever the option chosen, the date for the event is the afternoon of Friday 9th April 2027, at Northcourt Centre, so make a note in your diary.
Let us know please if one of our members is sick or just needs a hug.
The 13th October monthly meeting is a craft session, so there will be no speaker. To celebrate autumn we are doing ‘’Fun with Leaves‘’– start looking for leaves to bring along with prominent veins on the back and that are not too big
We will be using the leaf images we create to make a greetings card. There will be paint! So don’t wear anything too smart and and consider wearing an apron or an old shirt as a cover up.
All this activity might make you peckish? We ask you to bring along a side plate of nibbles to share.
We are starting to collect items for our December tombola from now on and don’t forget our annual collection of items for the homeless.
