New year – more fun!
I hope you have all recovered from Christmas and kept healthy. Just ten more months and the preparations start over again. First though we must look forward to spring, summer flowers and hopefully some sunshine.
All your donations for the homeless were duly delivered to The Gate House drop-in centre in Oxford. It is humbling to see so many in need. Please let us continue to support others in society less fortunate than ourselves. Knitted blankets for the premature babies unit and jumpers for Africa are always welcome too. We have spare wool, so please ask. Thank you.
Ladies, we have a tea towel shortage in our WI kitchen cupboard. They have somehow disappeared, perhaps taken away to launder and not been returned? The Craft Group, which meets once a month, has access to this cupboard – could we be the culprits? Please go on a tea towel hunt for us. Edna wrote Fitzharrys WI in permanent ink on most of
them a few years ago, so that could be a good clue to look for.
