Sun around the corner!
Goodness me what a busy meeting February was, with 26 visitors. The speaker was good and the cake and sweets all went in a jiffy.
You will all have received the envelope from our Treasurer by now with all the financial details. Subscriptions due by 1 April 2025.
Three members have put together what l think looks like an excellent and varied programme for 2025-26. It will be read out at the March meeting and your card copies will be available in April.
There is still time to book an observer ticket for Oxfordshire Federation of WIs annual meeting in Cassington. It is a great day out – I promise. Jean is our delegate.
I have now floated the idea to the Northcourt Centre committee about installing a defibrillator at the Centre. More Centre news is that both toilets will shortly be refurbished and some windows and doors are to be replaced. Slow but sure. The rent is going up by £1 per hour, making it £12 per hour for the big room. This is still very favourable compared to other halls in Oxfordshire, so we are lucky.

Book Library Janet Hickman has taken on running a book library. Please approach her for a good read.
Coffee Club Sunday 2 March 2 pm onwards at Coffee Aroma, High Street, Abingdon.
Craft Group Friday 28 February.  Bring your own project and share techniques. We now have sixteen members.

Art Group Every 2nd and 4th Monday morning of the month in the Morgan room at Northcourt Centre. There are currently two vacancies. Contact Viv.
Next WI monthly meeting Tuesday 11 March. This is our annual general meeting and after tea we shall hear from some members with a story or two.
Jubilee Group Meeting Tuesday 29 April 7.30 pm at Northcourt Centre.
Speaker: Dr Kathryn Harkup ‘’Dying to be Beautiful’’ Tickets can be purchased at the WI monthly meetings in March or April.
