Songs and stories on a sunny afternoon

At their May monthly meeting the members of Abingdon Fitzharrys WI gathered to listen to Nicola Pratley, Course Leader in Performing Arts at Abingdon & Witney College, talk about her life on the stage. She began as a child performer, went  on to study Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting and to pursue a stage career before taking up her teaching position at the College.  She still loves to perform and is a member of  the Oxford Operatic Society. As an extra treat she sang two songs  – Somewhere over the Rainbow and Don’t Rain on my Parade.

Nicola will be performing in the  OPS version of Jesus Christ Superstar at the Oxford Playhouse in July and those lucky Abingdon Fitzharrys members who signed up for the outing organised by Trine will be going along to see the show.
