July 2021 newsletter

Dear all,

It was good to be back in the Northcourt Centre last month for our AGM, though of course the meeting was very different this year. I hope everyone enjoyed the afternoon – catching up, listening to our speaker Carole Page and hearing some of the Committee’s plans for the coming year.

However I learnt after the meeting some of you had difficulty in hearing our speaker for which I apologise.  I am sure you are aware the we need to have the doors in the meeting room open to ensure a flow of air in the room. In future, if there is a problem please speak up and we will do our best to put things right.

Weather permitting, our Garden Party will be held on Tuesday 27 July from 3pm at 7 Nuneham Square. We are hoping to have a sales table, a raffle and one of Anne’s quizzes. Tickets are £3 each and will be available at our meeting on 13 July.

Hilary has all the details for our trip to Blewbury Manor on Tuesday 10 August at 2 pm. Tickets are £8 each and will include a tour of the garden by the Head Gardener plus tea and a cake. Final numbers and payment must be made at our meeting on 13 July. We will then be in a position to organise cars etc.

I look forward to seeing you all at our next meeting on the 13 July in the Northcourt Centre at 1.30 p.m when Jennifer Cowling will be speaking on from “Page to Stage”.

Just a gentle reminder that face coverings must be worn on the way into the Northcourt Centre.

In the meantime take care.
Moira.
