March 2023 newsletter

Published by AbingdonFitzharrysWI on

Hello !
March is here and we all hope it will bring sunshine all around. Bits are popping up in my garden along with ideas and plans for the future. We must never stop looking ahead. I want to thank Sheila G. for all her lightbulb moments, a bit like the March hare hopping from idea to idea. If you too have ideas, do tell us. We do listen. It is your WI and we want you all to get the most out of your membership.

A big thank you to Val for standing in as Treasurer while Judy is in South America

Programme 2023/24: copies available at the April meeting.
Sunday 5 March: Coffee club meeting Café Aroma 2pm onwards.
Friday 24 March Craft club where we will be making origami paper boxes with Sheila Gove.
Art Group: continue to meet twice a month. Details from Viv Lowe.
Wednesday 1 March: Lunch Club – the first meeting of the newly re-formed club

The next monthly meeting is on Tuesday 14 March. This is our AGM. Hilary Dix our Wl advisor will be there to
officiate. Hilary is also Oxfordshire Federation of WI’s Climate Ambassador an she may want to tell us what that entails.Sadly, I don’t think she can fix the weather. Afterwards l will do a show and tell about how l accidentally became a Quilter.

Take care and enjoy the sun when it is out.
All the best Trine
